The Natural History Museums of Los Angeles County is pleased to invite you and a guest to a special evening with the Dinosaur Institute here at the Museum.
The Dinosaur Institute (DI) houses the Museum's collection of Mesozoic tetrapods (four-limbed vertebrates), dating from 250 million years ago to 65.5 million years ago. The fossils in our collection have been acquired over nearly a century, and the collection continues to expand rapidly through the DI's very active field program. The DI runs expeditions several times a year to collect fossils from Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and Utah.
Join us for a casual but thrilling evening at the Natural History Museum, where guests will enjoy libations and light hors d’oeuvres while exploring the depths of NHMLAC's Dinosaur Institute. Dr. Luis Chiappe, Dr. Nate Smith, and other DI staff will escort small groups of guests through the Institute for an exclusive look at their groundbreaking work, most recent discoveries, and a sneak peek of what's to come.
Fellows of all Membership levels, and a guest, are invited to this Fellows in Focus evening.
To RSVP, please contact the Fellows Office at fellows@nhm.org no later than Friday, March 10, 2023.
