The Cultural Treasures Market takes place in NHM Commons, which is free and open to all. A separate General Admission ticket is required for access to the Museum's main galleries and exhibitions.
Limited paid parking will be available in the NHM Car Park on Bill Robertson Lane.
More than a Market, It’s a Celebration of South LA.
This holiday season, NHM is proud to partner with LA Commons to present the Cultural Treasures Market at NHM—a celebration of the rich cultural traditions, creativity, and resilience of South Los Angeles and Altadena artisans and small businesses.
Discover unique holiday gifts from local artists and vendors, enjoy live music on the plaza, grab delicious bites from neighborhood food vendors, and participate in a fun all-ages art activity.
More than a holiday celebration, this is a community gathering that uplifts the makers and Angelenos helping our neighborhoods heal and thrive.
Rooted in the work of Promise Zone Arts South LA, a community-driven cultural asset mapping initiative led by LA Commons and the City of Los Angeles’ Department of Cultural Affairs. These marketplaces shine a light on the Cultural Treasures that residents have identified as important to the fabric of South LA. This event provides a platform for Black and Brown artists, organizations, and small businesses to share their wares to the community, in the community.

Marketplace | NHM Commons Community Plaza
Shop candles, accessories, textiles, home décor, and unique finds by South LA and Altadena makers and vendors! Grab a bite from local food vendors including South LA Cafe, All Chill Ice Cream, Crenshaw Juice Co., El Rincon Hondureno, Dulanville, Fuegos LA, and more, while vibing to beats from DJ Adé.
The Cultural Treasures Market at NHM is part of the Natural History Museum’s Partners in Commons series, which, through sustained collaboration, invites community partners to share their work and reach audiences at NHM Commons.
