We hope you will join us for an NHMLAC Discovery Luncheon on Tuesday, December 6 from 12 - 1:30 PM. This casual luncheon will feature a presentation by Dr. Jann Vendetti, Twila Bratcher Chair in Malacological Research, Associate Curator of Malacology, and Associate Director of UNRC. Dr. Vendetti presents on her most recent malacology research that required using the newly upgraded Scanning Electron Microscope, or SEM. After the presentation, guests have the option to visit the new SEM Lab and visit with Dr. Kirk Fitzhugh, Curator of Polychaetes and resident SEM expert.
The reception will be held in the Natural History Museum's Rotunda, guests will be directed through the nature gardens to the luncheon, and will be escorted through the museum to the Gem & Mineral Hall for the Behind-the-Scenes tour. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and bringing a light jacket. Lunch and refreshments will be served. Complimentary parking provided in the NHM Car Park.
This event is a benefit for Fellows members at the Alliance Circle, Curator's Circle, Director's Circle, and Sponsor's Circle levels.
To RSVP, please contact the Fellows Office at fellows@nhm.org no later than Tuesday, November 29, 2022.
